Winnebago Industries x Leave No Trace

Winnebago Industries and the Winnebago Industries Foundation teamed up with Leave No Trace, a leading environmental nonprofit, to empower outdoor enthusiasts — especially RVers and boaters — to protect natural spaces for today’s adventurers and future generations using seven simple principles.

You can join us in the commitment to keeping the outdoors great for generations to come. Take the 101 training to learn how we can each do our part to protect the planet using seven simple principles.

The 7 Principles of Leave No Trace

  1. Plan ahead and prepare
  2. Travel and camp on durable surfaces
  3. Dispose of waste properly
  4. Leave what you find
  5. Minimize campfire impacts
  6. Respect wildlife
  7. Be considerate of others

While the basic principles themselves are similar for both RV users and boaters, each principle comes with detailed guidance uniquely tailored to each audience.

Protecting the Water

A principle of Leave No Trace is to, “plan ahead and prepare.” For boaters, that means protecting your vessel, passengers and other boaters by carrying safety equipment, checking weather and inspecting your boat.
