At Barletta, elevating experiences on the water has always been the standard. With the introduction of the Sanza, the brand is creating a new way to bring that experience to even more consumers, without compromising what makes a Barletta pontoon unique.
Designed as “a smart boat for smart buyers,” the Sanza is built for first-time and value-minded consumers. It delivers everything boaters need and nothing they don’t.
“I want to be a boat manufacturer that provides a fantastic boat for every price point we play in,” said Matthew Thompson, vice president of sales at Barletta. “That’s what excites me most, being able to get people into a Barletta who didn’t think they could get into the Barletta family.”
Designed to deliver
Innovation has long defined the Barletta brand, with an unprecedented five Discover Boating® Innovation Awards to show for it, and the Sanza is no exception. “For this product, a big part of the innovation was the speed,” said Josiah Druckenmiller, vice president of design and product development. “In a very short time, we went from nothing to having a boat ready for shows. That required a lot of heavy lifting, even for a more simplified product.”
Even with the accelerated timeline, the team remained focused on its customer-first culture, prioritizing safety, craftsmanship, comfort, reliability, ease and confidence on the water. The Sanza is available in both quad lounge and L-lounge layouts, with up to 150 horsepower and dependable performance suited for cruising, watersports and all-day family use.
Sanza owners also have access to Barletta’s Summer Hotline, which offers real-time assistance during peak boating months.
Simplicity that elevates the experience
While the Sanza meets a competitive price point, the goal was not to lessen the Barletta experience but to refine and simplify it. “I want the customer to be totally satisfied,” Druckenmiller said. “I don’t want them to have any complications using our product. I want it to be seamless. I want them to feel a little elevated from where they are. I want them to feel like they bought a Barletta.”
The design team prioritized making the boat easy to use
“There’s a whole market that wants to go out and not have to worry about anything: ‘just tell me what I need and let me enjoy it,’” Druckenmiller said. “It follows our design principle of simplifying the use of all the functionality we’re offering.”
That philosophy shows up in everything from intuitive layouts to streamlined features, creating a boat that feels approachable from the first time on the water.
A starting point that goes further
With the Sanza, Barletta isn’t just introducing a new model — it’s opening the door to new owners, new experiences and a broader future for the brand. “It still has all the DNA of Barletta, including our dedicated aftermarket care and service,” Thompson said. “And it allows consumers to grow within the Barletta family and maintain a relationship with the dealer they purchased it from.”
By focusing on simplicity, thoughtful design and meaningful innovation, the Sanza creates an experience that new boaters can grow with, and one that feels unmistakably Barletta from the very start.
