Visitor Center Tour InformationThe largest motor home manufacturing facility in the world, Winnebago Industries, Inc., is located right here in Forest City in what we refer to as the most productive 60 acres in North Iowa. Founded in 1958, "Winnebago" became a household word when the first recreation vehicle manufacturer to build motor homes in an automotive-style assembly line system. Winnebago Industries builds its Winnebago, Itasca, and ERA motor home brands in one of the most technologically advanced RV manufacturing facilities in existence today. Free tours are offered twice daily (Monday through Friday) April through October at 9:00 a.m. and 1 p.m. Regular daily tours are not offered November 1 through March 31 and for one week in July. Special accommodations can be arranged for large tour groups. Reservations are recommended for groups larger than 6 people. Note: Due to flexibilities in production schedules and just in time production practices, not all factory complex areas are in full operation at all times.
