Winter has come to VT and the Lake Champlain WIT chapter is in hibernation mode until spring. Many of our members are in the sunny (or at least warmer) south. Sixteen who remained in VT or returned for the holidays attended a Christmas dinner party at the home of members Diana and John Brownell on Dec. 17. Happy hour was followed by a delicious meal. The tables were beautifully decorated for the season by Sandi Loiselle. Following supper we played several games of card bingo with prizes for the winners. Then the group broke into two groups for conversation, a group of men and a group of women—doesn't that always happen! We headed home to anticipate spring and our first rally.

In the spring, Lake Champlain WIT will be working with some of the campgrounds in VT that were devastated by tropical storm Irene, helping with painting, raking, seeding, planting, and whatever else needs to be done.
