Cardinal Winnies
Local Chapter
By Ray Moore

May has been a busy month for the Cardinal Winnies. The month began with the Cardinals hosting the WOW Spring Campout at Logan County Fairgrounds (May 7 – 9). While the weather could have been warmer, the weekend was a success. We had 55 coaches attend including 16 Cardinal coaches. Saturday a brief meeting was held for the purpose of presenting Pete Hays, a new member, with his cardinal bird and welcoming new members, Kay and Glen Boniface, of Findlay, OH. Norm Gibson introduced the Cardinal Race game to us and we shared it with WOW. We had several races on Saturday and raised about $22 for WOW. The Cardinals hosted this event and its success was due to the great support each of you gave this weekend.
Thanks Cardinals.

The following weekend (May 14 – 16) nine Cardinal coaches participated in a Show and Tell at Arbogast RV in Troy. We enjoyed meeting several customers and sharing the RV lifestyle with them. The club provided Friday evening dinner for Arbogast salesmen and Arbogast provided a barbecue dinner for the club Saturday evening. We learned that one customer purchased a Winnebago as a result of our efforts. Rick Harvey, a maintenance tech, spent time with us sharing maintenance tips. Sam Artz, the Sales Manager, expressed his appreciation and expressed his satisfaction with the success of the weekend.

The very next weekend (May 21 – 23) found the Cardinals having their regular campout for the month of May at Cross Creek Resort, DE. We had 15 coaches present including guests. We toured the Whistle Factory in Worthington on Friday and ate at Hoggy's in DE. While we had much rain over the weekend, we were able to us the clubhouse for our meals.
