Eleven coaches met at the Town and Country Campground in West Salem, OH for our October campout and meeting. Our group, as always, had a great time. We enjoyed a phenomenal happy hour Friday, with appetizers too varied and numerous to mention. Let's just say that very few of us had the need to cook any dinner that evening. During the weekend, many of us ventured out to explore the local attractions and merchants. Some of us visited a local train/trolley museum while others went to the Rubbermaid Outlet. In addition, a couple of us went to the local Camping World to check out specials. There is always great conversation exploring any number of topics, ranging anywhere from what's new in our families to what type braking systems we are each using for towing our cars. President Karen Miller hosted an afternoon tea for the ladies.
Food Saturday was definitely scrumptious as everyone brought one of their favorite dishes to share. Again, no one walked away hungry! Our business meeting focused on reviewing all the upcoming plans and events for the remainder of 2009, which includes a Thanksgiving dinner and a Christmas party, as well as exciting plans for 2010.

Oct. 23-26 was our last campout for 2009 at Pymatuning resort. We had ten coaches present.
Pymatuning Valley Resorts has a great indoor meeting room, indoor pool, separate adult and children meeting rooms, laundry, and a kitchen. We shared the facility with the rest of the campers while they had Halloween celebrations throughout the weekend. Everything worked out fine.
Friday night the resort sponsored hotdog night—a hotdog, buns and all of the fixings for $1. That took care of dinner for most of us. Some of the group elected to go to one of several fish fries in the area.
Saturday was fun. President Joanne Regal had each of us bring a bowl of cereal and we mixed them together. I think that we created a new, unique blend of cereal – too bad we can't recreate the same one again. We added fruit, etc., to make a great breakfast. We spent most of the day visiting from coach to coach and playing games.
Happy hour started and the consensus was that we were all very happy. We had a brown bag auction. Each coach brought two items that were each put in brown shopping bags and we bid on them—sight unseen. Needless to say, we won some very unusual gifts. The money that we raised (approximately $130) was donated to the Cleveland Clinic Breast Cancer Group.
We had our meeting and re-elected the same officers. Our new wagonmasters, Fred Regal and Ken Sbrocco, gave us the list of campouts for 2010. Check them out in the "Who's Inviting Who" section. Please give us a call and join us. They are also working on a Mystery Trip in 2010. We invite all of the members of the other WIT Clubs to join us. It has been a great success in the past.
Our Christmas Party will be at Mangia-Mangia Dec. 7. Jo Marie Gentile has also set up chapter lunches for the winter months on the last Friday each month at Mangia-Mangia.
We've decided to start our Ice Cream Socials for 2010 at each campout again. They were fun, but required some extra exercise to work off the calories.
