Local Chapters

By Susan and Don Burford (President, Border Cities Travelers)

This was our joint June Outing for the NM Clubs:

NM, north and south, got together in Palo Duro Canyon June 18-21 in Canyon, TX. Palo Duro Canyon is the second largest canyon in the United States. Nine coaches attended from the north and south chapters.

We enjoyed "Texas" a musical and steak dinner with the spectacular canyon as the backdrop. The musical was excellent and the lighting of the canyon beautiful. Most of the group visited the Panhandle Plains Historical Museum and were impressed by all the contents and size.

The canyon is so special, there are many things to do. It would be an excellent "must do" for RVers traveling near the area.
