Sept. 11-13, seven coaches enjoyed the great campgrounds of Blue Ox at Pender, NE. Friday we dined at the Country Pub in Bancroft, NE. It was great visiting and getting caught up once again. Even with Friday afternoon and evening being rainy and fog the following morning, it cleared in time for our potluck at noon Saturday. As usual, the good cooks were in attendance and we felt the results! The afternoon was spent with the NE football game on TV, while some enjoyed the street vendors at Thurston Watermelon Days.

Our business meeting and campfire was enjoyed by all at the Becherer's coach that evening. Some food bank items were collected. Most of us at some point during the weekend visited the American Legion Memorial there in Pender. Darrel Merry and all of the other Legion members have spent a lot of time on this wonderful memorial and should be rightfully proud of their work. It is great.
