Winnie Mo Tasca
State Club

Winnie Mo Taska held their first campout on April 16 - 18 at The Great Escape RV Park located at the junction of I-70 and Highway 13. We had 27 Winnebago units in attendance and several other members joined us on Saturday for a great catered breakfast and dinner. We were hosted by the Chief Winnies chapter who presented us with delicious grilled out hamburgers and hot dogs, salads and desserts that would not end on Friday. They presented new games based on the TV show "Less Than A Minute," which was quite challenging and was greatly enjoyed by all and several members asked if this would be at our State Rally. Answer, YES.

There was enough food left over from Friday that many enjoyed leftovers for lunch on Saturday.

If you want to have a great time and meet great, warm and friendly Winnebago owners, come join us at any of our State Club or Local Chapter outings.

Seventeen members attended the campout/meeting at Smith Fork Park in Smithville Lake, MO. The weekend was hosted by Bill and Ada Blowers, Gary and Alice Fazel, and Jerry and Linda Adkins. Our snowbirds have returned to a soggy spring. The rain came down all weekend, but we kept dry under the awnings and had a great time catching up and eating. Cowboy coffee brewed on the campfire!

Twenty-seven members and three guests attended our April campout at Cape RV Park in Cape Girardeau, MO. A story-telling festival in downtown Cape Girardeau and an azalea display in nearby Charleston found many members in attendance, while others took in golfing, shopping, and sightseeing. A unique restaurant in Alto Pass, IL called the Root Beer Saloon also interested several members. Evenings were spent playing games and enjoying each other's company.

Hillbilly Rollers
Local Chapter
By Gene Coltrin

The Missouri Hillbilly Rollers traveled to Mountain View, AR for their May campout. They had six member coaches in attendance. Six may seem like a few coaches in attendance, but six coaches are 50 percent of the Hillbilly Roller membership.

If ones taste for music is country, bluegrass, folk, fiddle tunes, with a smattering of "golden oldies" thrown in, Mountain View AR is the place to be. Every evening there are musicians located around the court square downtown for an evening of "Pickin' and Grinnin'" music on the square. So be sure to bring your folding chair and "sit a spell" and enjoy the wide variety of musical talent available. Stone County is jam-packed with things to see and do. For the rambunctious there is hiking, swimming, fishing, golfing, enjoying a movie at the drive-in theater, and much more to see and do in the area of Mountain View.

Next month the Hillbilly Rollers will be camping with Missouri Winnie-MO-Tasca state club. The dates for this state meeting are June 18 – 20.
