The Northern New England Rally was held Aug. 12-14 at the Windsor ME Fairgrounds. About 50 rigs arrived on Wednesday and Thursday, with a total of 72 over the weekend. Some were from TX, MD, NC, and FL. The rally's theme was the 'four seasons.' On arrival each rig was presented with a schedule of events and on the envelope was the season to which they would belong during their stay.
Friday, Bob Watson gave the welcoming speech. Icebreaker games were played and a wine and cheese social was served by the MS group. Leisure time was scheduled for those that wanted to visit our beautiful coast or those that just wanted to sit, relax, and visit old friends. Dinner was the traditional ME delicacy of lobster and clams. Shirley Girard and husband, our entertainment for the evening, sang popular and country songs to include karaoke.
Breakfast was served by VT. The WIT store opened and was presented by our new Eastern Area Reps, Butch and Becky Moore. Doug Formanek, WIT General Manager, was also present. Welcome to ME Doug! Beanbag baseball was played by season teams. Autumn got first and winter came in second. They lost by one point! The Eastern Reps presented a seminar on future rallies and tours. A seminar on motor home care and repair was presented by Mitch Loisel. An ice cream social was served by the NH group. Door prizes were drawn and distributed during the social. Dinner was catered and the tables were decorated by seasons. We had the Pygmies entertain us Saturday night. They put on quite a show!
Sunday breakfast was followed by Bob's farewell speech. We, the Maine A Bagos, enjoyed hosting the rally and hope everyone had a good time.
