Pelican Winnies

The LA Pelican Winnies met Oct. 29-Nov. 1 at Poche's Fish N Camp in Breaux Bridge. Eleven coaches made the trip with one couple driving in for the meeting. Our hosts for the meeting, the Bayou Winnies, did a great job. There were games, great meals, shopping trips, and lots of visiting and eating out at great local Cajun restaurants.

Halloween day, the campground was the scene of dozens of parties. Campers set up haunted houses by their coaches, decorated golf carts for a parade and dressed children for trick or treating. Poche's served gumbo to all comers after the trick or treating. Then the music started and went on until the early hours. It was a great party. People were slow getting going on Sunday morning. Nevertheless, we agreed that it was a terrific place to spend a Halloween weekend.
