Who's Yur Winnies
State Club
By Gene and Kathy Rieck
The October Who's Yur Winnies State Outing was held at the Jefferson Co. 4-H Fairgrounds in Madison, IN, Oct. 13-16. It was hosted by the Indybagos. It is a nice campground, we had use of a building with a kitchen. We only had 30-amp service with water, but no sewer. No campfires. We had twenty units total. One new couple joined us, Roger and Judy Huber from Brownsburg. Dick and Linda Dillon had a new unit. Lori Tindall spent one night with us. Dave and Judy Transier from Versailles joined us for dinner on Friday.
After our arrivals on Thursday, we were given goodie bags that contained several nice items including a candle, butane lighter, flashlight with batteries, and information on things to do in and around Madison. After an afternoon free to visit and explore, we were treated to Pizza Hut
and several played cards and games.
Friday was a free day and a few went out in the morning to go Geocaching, several took drives through Clifty Falls State Park for some really pretty colored scenery. There are several moderate to rugged hiking trails in the park, many leading to views of the falls. Several explored historic downtown Madison, shopping and dining along the riverfront and in town. Friday evening we had Subway followed by cards and games.
Saturday many attended Madison's 9th Annual Soup, Stew, Chili and Brew Festival. The event features booths offering various food items and drinks for sale with live music. There was a steam show and some took a wagon ride by steam tractor. Among the other places that members visited in the area were the Lanthier Winery, Schroeder Saddletree Factory Museum, Lanier Mansion State Historic Site, Dr. William D. Hutchings Office, Hanover College, and the Broadway Fountain. Several took advantage of coupons provided in the goodie bags for some Blue Belle ice cream at the Madison Creamery in downtown Madison.
Saturday evening we had a catered dinner. Tickets found in the goodie bags were drawn for door prizes. After dinner there was a Who's Yur Winnies meeting and the state officers were installed for a second term. They are Kathy, Gene, Lori, and Ruth! We finished up the evening with short chapter meetings and several stayed to play games. Sunday morning we ended the rally with breakfast items and coffee. Thanks to the Indybagos for hosting a great rally, for the goodie bag
items, great food, door prizes, and terrific camping weather!

Twenty coaches attended the October Who's Yur Winnies state meeting in Madison, IN, hosted by the Indybagos. There was plenty to do in Madison at the festival in town, plus the many wineries and other attractions in the area.
There was lots of good food each night as well as time for games and socializing. The Indybagos new officers were sworn in and they're already planning fun times for next year.
