Alberta Wild Rose

The Alberta Wild Rose WIT chapter had planned to start their camping year the last day of April and first two of May, but an unseasonable snowfall cancelled that plan. We rebooked at the Bashaw Golf and Country Golf Club for the weekend of May 14-16. The weather cooperated, supplying us with very little wind and lots of sunshine. 10 units arrived Friday and we had our usual hugs, greetings, and caught up on events of the winter.

Saturday was tee-off for the golfers in the group and the good weather and a beautiful course made them happy. The rest of us drank coffee and gabbed. We were able to wish Happy Birthday on Saturday to Donna Schmidt.

We continued conversing for the rest of the day until it was time to go to the clubhouse where we enjoyed a delicious meal served buffet-style. Dani and Cliff Mashford had us playing a new game of bingo – a real challenge. We had a lot of laughs over that game before going back to the campsite to sit around the fire for awhile.

Sunday is the usual time for our business meeting and we sang again as it was Marge Kully's birthday. We then had a wiener roast lunch after which we packed up and left for home.
