North Alabama Travelin' Warriors
Local Chapter
By Louise Blades
Five coaches met June 18-20 for the monthly campout at Roaring Pines Campground, Oak Grove, AL.
There were lots of good food and good conversation. We had a very interesting guest Saturday after the club meeting. Tim Baker, Jr. (son of Lee and Carolyn Cordar) demonstrated his skill in making arrowheads, spearheads, and knife blades like Native American warriors made. He used many types of materials and tools such as moose antler, deer antler, deerskin, copper, and a "hammer" stone. It was very interesting and informative.
